Designed with animals' specific nutritional needs in mind, the Klassik's gentle paddle mixing action thoroughly chops and mixes ingredients to present animals with consistent rations. And since it is reliable, flexible and easy to operate, it cuts down on both feeding time and labour.

So how does it mix?
The Klassik's design features the latest mixing technology.

Chambers:
The Klassik has a unique two-chamber design with a VFC (Variable Feed Control) door that separates the mixing chamber from the feedout chamber during mixing. Due to the sealed nature of the mixing chamber, all ingredients, including liquids, are moving at all times, resulting in no dead-spots and a thorough mix being produced. The feedout chamber consists of a full-length auger that runs outside the mixing chamber to discharge the feed quickly and evenly.

Paddles:
The angled paddles sweep along the mixing chamber floor at only 10 rpm, lifting material to the top before if falls, creating a gentle, non-destructive tumbling action. This ensures end-to-end mixing of all ingredients, with the correct ration structure, promoting high intake and performance.


Variable Feed Control:
For feedout, the VFC, or guillotine door, opens downward. The paddles push the mixed ration onto the full-length auger, resulting in consistent and even feedout. The VFC door allows you to adjust the rate of discharge. It can be closed during feedout allowing for the addition of extra feed ingredients. This simplifies the feeding routine.

So how does it chop?
The Klassik chops and incorporates a wide range of feeds into light, open-textured TMR using the very latest Keenan technology.

Top Knife:
A top knife is mounted on the opposite side to loading. As bulky material is loaded into the mixing chamber, the paddle pushes it against the top knife, cutting it into manageable pieces.

Bottom Knife:
Mounted on the floor of the mixing chamber are a series of offset knifes. As the paddles rotate, the knives chop the material.

Paddles:
The angled paddles act as scissors against the top knife, reducing horsepower requirements. Due to the fixed clearance between the paddles and the bottom knives, material is cut to the optimum length to achieve the necessary scratch factor to stimulate cud chewing.

For a machine used in some of the most rugged farming conditions imaginable, the Klassik Mixer Wagon's reliability is unsurpassed. This is due to its heavy-duty construction and simple operation.

The Klassik is specifically designed to be easily maintained on-farm. This ensures that the machine works hard day in, day out.

* Drive-train - There are only two chains in the entire machine and both have load capacities far higher than technically required. The simple, functional drive-train design means that there is no need to worry about complicated gearbox problems
* Bearings - The Klassik has only six bearings. All are externally mounted so that they can be easily replaced and are protected from damaging materials such as water, acidic forages, etc.
* Bolted Paddles - Paddles, like other parts, are bolted, rather than welded, so that they can be easily replaced, if necessary

The unique mixing design keeps power requirements to a minimum. Low horsepower means low friction and less stress on key components. These, coupled with heavy-duty build quality, give the Klassik low running costs and an exceptionally long life.
