Mr. Tom Turley, IFA Rural Development Chairman, has expressed his dissatisfaction with the announcement by Mary Coughlan, the Minister for Agriculture on the arrangements for application and payment for REPS 4 farmers from this year onwards. The IFA Rural Development Chairman noted that the future uptake on the scheme will be negatively impacted due to the move away from the early payments scheme, which for the past 14 years has been a key incentive for farmers to join the REPS scheme. |
