When it comes to regulations determining when and how slurry may be applied then Dutch farmers lead the world. Rather than view slurry as a useless bi-product that needs to be disposed of as quickly and as cheaply as possible, many farmers are now realising that improved slurry management decreases the dependency on expensive artificial fertiliser. |
