 Minister Micheal Martin, Donald Cronin (Managing Director), Cian MacSweeny The Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment, Micheál Martin, T.D., presented the awards at the 10th Annual Genesis Enterprise Programme (GEP) 2008 Awards & Showcase, at Cork Institute of Technology on Monday 14th April. FarmingPages.com was presented with a certificate for their outstanding contribution to the farming community in Ireland. With over 3,500 registered members, FarmingPages.com received more than 3 times as many visitors than other popular agricultural websites last year. FarmingPages.com are currently getting ready to launch an arsenal of innovative services which will make the day to day running of farms an awful lot easier. |

Minister of State, Mr John Browne T.D. at the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food this week urged the EU Commission to continue with their existing trade measures on imports of farmed salmon from Norway. The trade measures, which create a minimum import price for farmed salmon entering the EU market, are currently under threat.
